Since no one else could cover the solar eclipse from the path of totality, I was sent home to do a quick stand-up on how to stay safe during this rare event. It ended up being my very first on-air broadcast! Broadcast is ad-libbed.

I was sipping coffee alongside another NBC News intern when both our phones buzzed. After weeks of tension from a less than ideal performance in his debate against then former President Trump, he dropped out of the race. We rushed over to the White House with a camera and did an impromptu stand-up.
