West Lafayette Police reported 178 calls for service over the weekend when Purdue football played Penn State University, according to West Lafayette police’s Purdue Football Weekend Statistics.
Nine people were jailed over the weekend on preliminary charges varying from vehicle-related crimes to drug and alcohol use.
The statistics were compiled from police log entries Friday at 7 p.m. to Sunday at 7 p.m.
On Saturday morning, Jeremy Owen, 47, was arrested after getting pulled over around South River Road and Ahlers Drive about 1:15 a.m.
Owen reportedly was found to have a suspended license, but he also allegedly had narcotics in “plain view,” according to media logs.
After a search, multiple narcotics were reportedly found and he was preliminarily charged for possession of marijuana, methamphetamine and paraphernalia.

The next day, Purdue student Eleanor Hopkins, 21, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Sunday after getting pulled over around Robinson Street and Dehart Street. Hopkins was preliminarily charged for operating a vehicle while using a controlled substance.
That same morning, brothers Zachary Yost, 21, Zayden Yost, 23, and Edward Yost, 28, were arrested from the Neon Cactus about 3:15 a.m.
Zachary was allegedly warned for trespass but refused to leave the property. When officers attempted to place him under arrest, he allegedly resisted them, according to media logs.
During Zachary’s arrest, Edward allegedly “caused a disturbance” which resulted in his arrest.
The final brother, Zayden, was removed from the bar but allegedly returned several times after being told to leave, eventually leading to his arrest.
Each of the brothers have been preliminarily charged with public intoxication, with Zachary also being preliminarily charged with resisting law enforcement and Zayden for trespass, media logs said.
