Man dies after car collides with tree

A car accident early Friday morning resulted in the death of a 31-year-old driver after his car collided with multiple trees, the Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office announced.

The crash, reported about 1:42 a.m. near the 1400 block of E 725 North, resulted in the death of Cody Campbell, the only person in the vehicle, police said.
The vehicle reportedly ran off the roadway and struck several trees, where the driver was ejected and was fatally injured.

An autopsy is currently being scheduled by the coroner's office.
